Florida Science Academy Network

The Regional Education Laboratory of the Southeast (REL-SE) at SERVE invites you to participate in a Science Academy Network (SAN) composed of educational leaders from selected Florida Districts.
The Science Academy Network is designed to assist participating team members in providing effective science instruction by utilizing sound, evidence-based decision making information and strategies. In particular, the SAN will focus on helping districts ensure that middle grade students are well-prepared for high school science curricula. The initial meeting of the SAN will take place in February in a central location.

Response to Intervention:

The Regional Educational Laboratory-Southeast at SERVE and the Southeastern Comprehensive Center at SEDL will sponsor a regional meeting devoted to the issue of Response to Intervention (RtI). This meeting is designed for small state teams that include general and special education leaders involved in RtI implementation decision making. The meeting is by invitation only.

The southeastern regional RtI meeting is designed to offer the participants an opportunity to hear from nationally known presenters, network with colleagues, and participate in meaningful discussions to increase their ability to successfully plan and make decisions relative to RtI. The meeting will be held February 21 and 22 at the Marriott Atlanta Airport hotel, 4711 Best Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30337.
