The
Change Process for Educators
This
1-day session for teacher leaders, principals, and administrators
provides participants with an opportunity to orient themselves
to change style, become acquainted with educational change
theory, apply the theory using case studies, and develop
a change plan.
Formative
Teacher Evaluation Training
To
support teacher growth, teachers need structures to build
their capacity for leadership and expertise. SERVE adapts
this training module to fit the needs of each district and
to correspond with existing initiatives. Each training is
customized in terms of content, days of contact, etc.
Mentors
for Beginning Teachers Training Session
This
1-day (5 hour) session provides interactive training for
experienced teachers who are serving as mentors to those
teachers beginning their first or second year in the classroom.
Designed to support the Teacher Growth and Assessment model
of teacher evaluation, participants engage in activities
that will build their skills and knowledge as mentors to
help their mentees gain proficiency in the required performance
dimensions.
Strengthening
Schools for Leadership
This
3-hour session develops participants' understanding of the
role of school choice in improving school leadership, leadership
capacities and strategies, national curriculum report recommendations,
best-practice teaching and learning, and conditions that
help teachers lead and succeed.
Teacher
Growth and Assessment Training Module for District Implementation
(WD)
This
comprehensive training module allows districts to customize
professional development for administrators when initially
implementing the Teacher Growth and Assessment model of
teacher evaluation. SERVE consultants provide on-site intensive
initial training (10 hours of instruction) followed up with
individualized coaching visits to provide feedback and support.

Beginning Principal Mentorship Program (PP)
This
PowerPoint presentation is designed to provide a foundation
for mentor and beginning principal relationships based on
a shared vision of the competent principal, a shared understanding
of the importance of confidence and self-assurance as a
school leader, and a shared need for collaboration among
leaders.
