Kids Count 2005 Data Book Online
This website provides data from the 2005 Kids Count Data Book in an easy-to-use online database format. It allows you to generate custom graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles. You can also download the entire data set as delimited text files, read the book online, view the book in PDF format, or order a free hard copy of the Data Book. The Data Book provides data on a variety of indicators of child well-being.

Unaccompanied and Homeless Youth Review of Literature (1995-2005)
This NCHE review is based on literature published between 1995 and 2005 on issues concerning unaccompanied youth experiencing homelessness. It provides an overview of the challenges these young people face and includes research about why they leave their homes, how they live after leaving, and what interventions are being used to assist them. It includes sections on history, definitions, estimates, research, legislation, education, and interventions.

Missed Opportunities?: The Possibilities and Challenges of Funding High-Quality Preschool through Title I of the No Child Left Behind Act
This paper, published by the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) provides general background on the legislation behind Title I, an overview of the available data on the use of Title I funds for preschool, and examples of how some states and local communities have used Title I funds for these programs. It also examines the U.S. Department of Education’s statutes, regulations, and guidance on the use of Title I funds for preschool and raises some unanswered questions.
