The Best Practices and Model Programs portion of the NCHE website
was created in response to requests from the homeless education field.
This online resource provides a listing of high-quality homeless education
programs, separated by area of expertise, such as working with unaccompanied
youth, providing quality afterschool care for students experiencing
homelessness, and more. We invite our users to submit information
about their own program or a program they know about that demonstrates
excellence in a particular area or many areas of homeless education.
To submit information about a program, please send an e-mail to homeless@serve.org
that includes the following information:
- The name of the program's contact person
- The contact person's title
- The contact information to be shown on the NCHE
website (either phone number or e-mail address)
- The official name of the district or organization
that administers/sponsors the program
- A brief description of the program's main strengths
and/or successful practices. (Please limit this description to
4 or 5 sentences as we are only able to display a brief description
on the website)
Please note that this information will be displayed
on the website. Program contacts need to be willing to receive calls
or e-mails about their programs.
NCHE thanks you for your contribution to this valuable resource.
