McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act: Effective Education for Homeless Children and Youth in Vermont
This presentation was created by the Vermont Department of Education as a self-paced tutorial for local homeless education liaisons. It can also be used in training school and community personnel. The presentation is divided into four parts: Raising awareness, knowing the law, identifying and enrolling homeless students, and homeless education resources in Vermont. While part of the presentation focuses on Vermont, it can be adapted as a useful tool for other states.
