FEMA Answers
This site is dedicated to help the survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita obtain adequate assistance from FEMA. Other federal agencies providing direct assistance to survivors, like HUD, may also be discussed. The goal of this site is to provide information about FEMA programs and what benefits survivors should receive. The site provides recent updates from FEMA, including the release of disaster-specific guidance.

FEMA: Hurricane Information
This webpage from the Federal Emergency Management Agency tells hurricane victims how to access a variety of support services, including government benefits, hotlines for finding loved ones, and more.

HUD: Hurricane Resource Page
This webpage from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides valuable information such as: HUD's toll-free hotline number for hurricane victims; local contacts for homeless services; information on the relocation of HUD operations in the affected area; and information on how HUD's programs are being realigned in response to the crisis.

Re-housing Listserv
A listserv has been established to help advocates across the United States who are helping hurricane victims deal with temporary and long-term re-housing issues communicate with each other. The group provides an opportunity for advocates to exchange information and concerns as they assist individuals who are dealing with FEMA and HUD or simply trying to find adequate, affordable housing.
